Learn Hindi: Reading, Writing, Conversational

Namaste

नमस्ते!

Welcome.   Aapkaa swaagat hai.    आपका स्वागत है|

Have you ever wished

  • You had the time and energy to teach your child Hindi?
  • For online classes so you did not have to spend time in traffic?
  • For classes held in a professional setting?
  • For classes that catered specifically to the need of reading, writing or conversational Hindi?
  • For customized learning material such as flash-cards, workbooks, quizzes, etc.

I offer Hindi classes and workshops in group and individual settings. My classes entail the use of online quizzes, customized assignments and practice worksheets to simplify basic grammar concepts. I believe learning Hindi in this manner enables long-term retention. For my adult students, exercises, quizzes and games are uploaded to a website for easy retrieval and management.

If you happen to be an individual curious about Hindi though not ready for formal lessons; please visit my blog for frequent updates on various general topics related to learning Hindi. Please visit the classes section for more information if you would like to start the journey towards learning Hindi.  E-mail if you would like to try an online class free.

phir mile^ge!

    Hello

Found your blog thanks to ispeakhindi.com it’s great

    congratulations.

Wish you could translate these lyrics for me
it’s from the movie Lottery and it’s a song from Abhijeet Sawant

    here they are

    Dhadkane Kehati Hai
    Singer: Abhijeet Sawant

dhadkane kehati hai, kehate hi rehati hai – (2)
bin tere dhadake toh dil tod du
tu jo kahe jina bhi chhod du
tu bata kya karu, kya karu tu bata
jindagi jindagi ka kar jara faisala ho ho
dhadkane kehati hai, kehate hi rehati hai

manjil tere kadamon mein hai simati huyi
aankhein tere khwaabon se hai lipati huyi
manjil tere kadamon mein hai simati huyi
    tujhame base mere saare jahaan
    main chhodkar tujhako jaau kahaan
tu bata kya karu, kya karu tu bata
jindagi jindagi ka kar jara faisala ho ho
dhadkane kehati hai, kehate hi rehati hai
ik bas tere bin meri yeh duniya thami
thehara huwa aasmaan hai thehari jameen

ik bas tere bin meri yeh duniya thami
tu jo mile chal pade daastan
sab kuchh tere haath mein hai yahaan
tu bata kya karu, kya karu tu bata
jindagi jindagi ka kar jara faisala ho ho
dhadkane kehati hai, kehate hi rehati hai

    thanks a lot

I liked your “He or She” article. But, still can’t understand why a bus is feminine and car is masculine. Please help.

  17. Anshu said

@Kiran – Thx. for the comment. Bus and car are both feminine in Hindi. I am curious to know where you saw car being referred as masculine.

  18. Kiran said

Okay … my mistake :-) … but why are they feminine?

  19. Mukund said

    Namaste Kiran,

    Aap kaise ho ?

If someone asks Why Boy is masculine and Girl is feminine. Because they belong that gender. In humans u may identify by it’s genitals. However, in non living things u can’t recognise them by it. Threfore, it’s Hindi grammar part. U will have to improve vacabulry. Thats all. Ist clear ?

  20. KJ said

Interesting.. Infact I found u on Twitter (my username : wastageoftime). I too am an engineer running my own IT projects. I am curious to know how do u earn out of this or is it just a mission ???
